The 3 R´s.

Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (R3) is Recicladora Temarry's Recycle main goal. This closed loop recycling program is an integral factor in many of our customer's cost reduction success stories. Savings are realized in disposal cost, virgin solvent purchase, and meeting environmental goals of waste minimization.

Under this program, a customer's solvent waste stream is recycled to meet the agreed to product specifications. The customer's waste stream is scheduled for a batch or dedicated process run in Temarry's distillation column(s) and then the recycled product is returned to the generator.

Recycle and Return applies to those solvent waste streams consisting of manageable chemical boiling points, and either broad market value or expensive virgin product purchase.

Temarry has a published list of chemicals that are consistently distilled back into product at our facility. As part of any solvent purchase process, it's important to include the possibility of recycling.

To determine if a solvent stream can be recycled, a sample and waste profile is submitted to our lab. The laboratory is equipped with 'bench scale' distillation equipment where chemists simulate the production process at our Facility. Tests verify the recyclability and purity the distillation process can achieve. Results are benchmarked against the recycled product specifications provided by the customer. A sample can be returned to the generator to determine the performance of the recycled product. Temarry has been very successful in separating solvent wastes.

Recycle and Return works for companies which generate a certain volume of solvent waste streams.  One driving factor is the cost of the virgin solvent. For example, the value of the types of solvents Temarry recycles can range from a few dollars to several hundred dollars per gallon for virgin product. Cost analysis is part of our lab evaluation for recycling candidates. Cost analysis reviews the cost of: Virgin product; the recycling process, and makeup solvent volumes. Comparisons are made to a customer's current method of straight product purchase and ongoing disposal costs. Through Recycle and Return, companies are often able to significantly reduce their costs and enhance environmental practices.
